EL sentido interrogativo de este artículo ya alude claramente al carácter de hipótesis que habrán de tener por fuerza nuestras aseveraciones. Por lo general, en casos así se abandona el tema para cuando se tengan datos más concluyentes; sin embargo, no nos ha parecido conveniente proceder de este modo por dos razones: a) la casi imposibilidad de acumular más informaciones o de precisar más las que existen; b) la gran escasez de armas medievales de las que se conozca (con seguridad absoluta o relativa) el origen local, sobre todo en España.
